Microneedling
Microneedling
Microneedling — also called collagen induction therapy — is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses fine needles to create tiny punctures (micro-injuries) in the skin. These controlled injuries trigger the skin’s natural healing process, stimulating collagen and elastin production, which helps improve skin texture and appearance.
This process helps to improve skin texture and appearance, reducing the look of wrinkles, fine lines, scars (including acne scars), hyperpigmentation, and stretch marks. The results are gradual, with the skin continuing to improve for up to six months after treatment as new collagen is produced.
- Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
- Softens acne scars and other types of scarring
- Minimizes the appearance of hyperpigmentation and sun damage
- Diminishes enlarged pores
- Improves the look of stretch marks
- Promotes overall skin rejuvenation and firmness
What Microneedling Does
-
Stimulates collagen & elastin → firms and smooths the skin.
-
Improves:
-
Fine lines and wrinkles
-
Acne scars and surgical scars
-
Stretch marks
-
Enlarged pores
-
Uneven tone or texture
-
Mild skin laxity
-
How It Works
-
The skin is cleansed and numbed with a topical anesthetic.
-
A microneedling device (like a Dermapen or roller) is passed over the skin.
-
The tiny punctures prompt healing and new collagen formation.
-
Optional: serums (vitamin C, hyaluronic acid, PRP) may be applied for deeper absorption through the microchannels.
